Yellowstone Fox

The three traditional color phases of red fox, red, cross, and black/silver.
I have also worked on red fox in Yellowstone National Park where two novel color phases of red fox are found in the high elevation (sub-alpine and above) areas. In this project I was trying to determine the the amount of genetic exchange occuring between mountain and low-elevation foxes.
