Graphs and Charts
SPSS has many graphing tools. These are
located in the "Graph" Menu on the top of every window.
There are two types of graphs:
Regular graphs can be obtained:
 | by selecting "graphs" and then
the type of graph you desire.

 | by requesting a graph when doing a
statistical procedure.
|
Regular graphs are edited by double-clicking
on the graph to open the chart editor window.
Interactive graphs can be
obtained:
 | by selecting "graphs" and then
"interactive" and then the type of graph you desire.
|
 | by selecting an area of a pivot table and
right-clicking and then selecting the type of graph you desire.
|
Interactive graphs can be edited in the
viewer window by double-clicking on the graph.
|
Graphs and
charts are stored in the Output
Window. In the left pane of the output window (the index pane), a
graph is indicated as a
for a regular graph and a
for an interactive graph. The
right pane (the result content pane) gives the corresponding graph.
