Graphs and Charts

SPSS has many graphing tools. These are located in the "Graph" Menu on the top of every window.

There are two types of graphs:

ChartIco.GIF (911 bytes)   Regular graphs can be obtained:

bullet

by selecting "graphs" and then the type of graph you desire.

bullet

by requesting a graph when doing a statistical procedure.

Regular graphs are edited by double-clicking on the graph to open the chart editor window.

InterIco.GIF (928 bytes)    Interactive graphs can be obtained:

bullet

by selecting "graphs" and then "interactive" and then the type of graph you desire.

bullet

by selecting an area of a pivot table and right-clicking and then selecting the type of graph you desire.

Interactive graphs can be edited in the viewer window by double-clicking on the graph.

Graphs and charts are stored in the Output Window.  In the left pane of the output window (the index pane), a graph is indicated as a ChartIco.GIF (145 bytes) for a regular graph and a InterIco.GIF (164 bytes) for an interactive graph.  The right pane (the result content pane) gives the corresponding graph.

Please select a type of graph to go to the page describing that graph:
