Currently, I am a full professor of statistics in the Department of Mathematics, and serve as the program director for the Graduate Certificate Program in Data Mining at Central Michigan University. I am a Dow Chemical Six Sigma Black Belt. I am also working as a senior faculty research fellow at the Center for Applied Research & Technology. The research projects are data mining and business intelligence projects from industries, such as Dow Chemical, Dow Corning, EDS, Eli-Lily, International Paper, Henry Ford Hospital Systems and so on. My B.S. degree was in Agronomy. I saw and did various experiments using statistical techniques during the B.S. years. It was the beauty of statistical applications that attracted me into the world of the statistics profession. I began my journey in the statistics profession since 1978. I received an MA in Mathematics at the University of West Florida in 1979 and Ph.D. in Statistics in 1984 at the Department of Statistics, Iowa State University. Statistical consulting has been a major part of my career since 1976. Awards and Honors:
