I was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I received my high school education at Fisher Park High School, graduating in 1970. I received Honor’s BA in Mathematics from York University in 1980, a Master’s Degree in Science from University of Windsor in 1982, and Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Mathematics from University of Windsor in 1986. I have worked as professor at the following institutions: University of Western Ontario, 1986-87; Technical University of Nova Scotia, 1997-1990; Saginaw Chippewa Tribal College, spring 2002; Central Michigan University, 1990-present where I am currently employed as associate professor. I do research in number theory and fractals.
