Graph Format Assignment
Objective: Create two graphs summarizing humidity data trends in your room or
apartment.
Procedure:
Graph 1
- Access the proper excel chart format from the Geography Department's K
drive. You must be in a Geography Department computer lab to read this
file.
- Recreate the chart depicted in tab cIODvIH ("chart indoor/outdoor
dewpoints and indoor humidity").
- Use text boxes from the draw toolbar to replace the old dates. Use vertical lines
at the appropriate width to separate
dates.
- Keep the same time scale (0, 6, 12, 18, 0...) on the x axis.
- Keep axes labels the same size.
- Increase size of title.
- Work a new color scheme for plot area background or lines. Make the
information stand out better.
Graph 2
- You have access to six different data categories: indoor temperature,
indoor relative humidity, indoor dewpoint, outdoor tempeature, outdoor
dewpoint, outdoor relative humidity. Use your creativity to create a new
chart, using at least two of the categories above.
- You have flexibility in designing the appearance of the chart. The
chart will be evaluated on the basis of readability, contrast, and accuracy.
- Write a short paragraph explaining trends depicted.
