Instructional Facilities

The department's instructional facilities consist of 1) a 75-seat lecture classroom, 2) a 32-seat lecture/laboratory classroom, 3) two 15-seat laboratory classrooms dedicated to upper division courses, and 4) a 12-seat seminar room. All classrooms are fully mediated - equipped with computerized A/V projection systems - and are networked to the internet. The department maintains a networked, eight-station microcomputer (Mac and PC) laboratory for majors, which is used primarily for word processing, spreadsheet and specialized program applications, as well as internet and e-mail access. The department also utilizes large (150 to 250 seat) mediated classrooms in other buildings for some of its GEL 101 - Physical Geology - classes.
