Department of the Interior (National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, Fish & Wildlife Service, Geological Survey, etc.)
Department of Health & Human Services
Department of Agriculture (Forest Service)
Department of Energy
Environmental Protection Agency
Army Corps of Engineers

State Governments:

Michigan Department of Natural Resources and equivalent agencies in other states
Michigan Department of Environmental Quality
Equivalent agencies in other states

Local Governments:

water and waste treatment plants; landfills and recycling programs; land-use regulations

Private consulting firms

Environmental Assessments, Monitoring and Remediation of Pollution, many other environmental jobs.

Industry ( including agricultural companies, pollution control companies, any industry that produces wastes)

Research Institutions

including universities and national laboratories, such as the Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory

Educational Institutions (schools, colleges and universities)

Nonprofit Organizations
