Medicine/Osteopathy - Links to Program Michigan Medical Schools

Within the state the University of Michigan and Wayne State University have allopathic medical schools and Michigan State University has an osteopathic and allopathic medicine college.  Entering classes begin each fall semester.  Application should be made approximately one year prior to expected enrollment.  Medical schools recommend a program that will both meet minimum requirements for medical school and provide a broad academic training.  A good grade point average is essential since admissions are highly competitive.

All students must take at least:

Physics with lab (1 year)
Chemistry with lab (1 year of organic and 1 year of inorganic)
English (1 year)
Biology with lab (1.5 years)
Psychology (1 course)
Sociology (1 course)
