Requirements
Experience in the Field
There is no absolute requirement to work in the
field prior to graduation. However, such experience is highly
encouraged and the forestry
adviser can aid in the search for these
positions.
Special Examinations & Required License
There is no qualifying exam required to work as
a forester in Michigan. However, a person must have a degree in
forestry and be registered by the State of Michigan. Rules vary for
other states.
