| The Pine River is located in Alcona and Iosoco counties in eastern Michigan. It is part of the AuSable River Watershed. The river flows into Van Etten Lake, an impoundment located in northeastern Iosco County. The Pine River drains approximately 187,000 acres. Van Etten Lake has 1,320 acres of lake surface and a maximum depth of 33 feet. The output of Van Etten Lake is as the southern end and connects with the AuSable River approximately two miles from its confluence with Lake Huron. | |
