CMUBS and the Beaver Island community are served by the following modes of transportation to and from the mainland:

THE BEAVER ISLAND BOAT CO. operates a ferry service between
Charlevoix and Beaver Island. Adult passenger fare each way is $19.00 . Vehicles can be ferried to Beaver Island for $65.00,
each way, and
up, depending on size. Bicycles may be transported at a cost of $8.00, one-way.
Reservations need to be made for car transport but not for individuals. For information

www.bibco.com. Generally the ferry ride takes a
little over 2

ISLAND AIRWAYS
(Charlevoix
Airport just south of the intersection of highways M‑31 & M‑66) serves Welke
Airport on Beaver Island. Fares are $42 one way (all taxes included). .
The flight to Beaver Island takes about 20 minutes. For reservations or more

Beaver Island Township Airport on Beaver Island. Fares are $42.50 each way (or
$40.00 each way with 7 day advanced booking). For reservations or more

Since flights are not made on a regular schedule, reservations should be made in advance.
It is the student's responsibility to arrive on Beaver Island prior to the start of classes. All transportation to and from the airport and ferry dock on the island will be provided by CMUBS. All scheduled class arrivals will be met automatically; unexpected arrivals can call 448-2325 for transportation. Ferry and air fares are subject to change without notice.
